October and November have been relatively mild and calm which has meant that flowers have lasted longer and the opportunities for drawing outside have extended as well . the drawings in this post pay homage to the favourable conditions .

A re visit to East London Printmakers to experiment with paper stencils . A little bit of practice at home with a small screen helped and an experiment with mono print again just to get back into screen print . Had problems with matching up the layers but the mistakes and overlapping were very effective . Many thanks to Anne for her help ! This studio is a great space for producing new work well equipped and friendly and helpful supportive fellow printers .

Open Studio a week to go !! /  by Rowena Ardern

Getting ready for my first Open Studio at home !! I have the last Heron canvas for £120 this design has been appreciated greatly by many over the years it is a very popular design as is the accompanying Heron and Willow cushion ! I have two square ones available at £60 each as well as other cushion designs . I also have dyed vintage linens , individually embroidered tea towels as well as the screen printed Silver Birch tea towels at £10 each and an interesting stack of embroidery samples and cloths unique pieces ! Prints are reduced by 20%so please come and enjoy ! PS You might want to bring some cash for the smaller pieces. !

Flora is an exhibition of embroideries prints and drawings made over the last few years in beautiful gardens that inspire me . These include Great Dixter and Sissinghurst in East Sussex and Kew Gardens in Richmond London .
