I would like to invite you all to my exhibition entitled Garden at the Jeannie Avent Gallery on Northcross Road East Dulwich SE22 . It is a celebration of the natural world particularly gardens . During these difficult times being outside in green spaces has nourished and sustained many of us . I have always loved being in nature and that is where I am happiest drawing plants and other flora and fauna . I have translated these drawings into prints , embroideries,and fabric designs . The exhibition will be open from the 15 th to the 25 th of October Thursday to Suunday from 10 am until 6 pm .

Hoping you are all well and managing to stay positive in these interesting times and to give you an update on my work . I am in the process of adding my prints to the website and have also reduced the price of my silver birch tea towels from £!2 to £10 as a lockdown offer !! They are screen printed in the UK onto 100%cotton (wash as whites to keep the fresh colour up to 40 degrees) .

Work at the Whitworth Art Gallery Manchester /
Last thursday was the official opening of the BluePatch pop-up shop or Sustainable Department Store at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester with goods for sale from a selection of Blue Patch members. It is there until the 31st of March Mothers Day (could be the perfect outing !!) I shall be there on that day at the Meet the Makers event . There is a limited range of my work there but you can now buy some of my cushions online ( see my shop on this website ) and you can always email me for other work that is for sale but not yet online.Here are a few images to whet your appetite of course the thing about any hand made work it os better seen in the flesh so to speak !The Gallery is open every day from 10 til 6 with a late night opening on thursdays until 9 pm .

Intaglio Prints /
small white egret
Experimental print at the Mary Ward Centre over the past few weeks has been challenging but at last I feel I am getting somewhere . This is last weeks intaglio of a small white egret .The second print I added colour using the chin colle process but with fabric rather than paper as I have had problems finding good quality coloured tissue papers . It has worked well . The image is from a drawing I made at the Horniman Museum’s collection of taxidermy birds and animals in Forest Hill London .
